What it does

Normalize Unicode character sequences. NFKC changes 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 to Hello and β‘  to 1, improving search and copy/paste compatibility.

Limits

This is not font recognition, transliteration or spellchecking. Cyrillic lookalikes, zero-width characters and accents are not automatically removed. Compatibility normalization can change meaning in specialist notation.

Forms

NFC/NFD compose/decompose canonical equivalents. NFKC/NFKD additionally replace compatibility characters.
